Most pirate stories stay in one era. Lady Redbeard doesn’t have that problem. She’s the most dangerous pirate captain on any sea — whether that’s the storm-churned waters of 1717 or the bleeding edge of deep space. And she’s the star of one of the wildest adults-only pulp comics Bleeding Pulp has ever published.
The Character
Lady Redbeard is a pirate captain who tears through two complete full-throttle pulp adventures in Volume 1 alone — sea battles, monsters, strange worlds, alien prisons, cosmic empires, sword fights, time travel, ancient horrors, and killer beasts. Written by Justin Gray with art by Diego Guerra and Rui Silveira, the series is inspired by classic Heavy Metal, Euro fantasy albums, pulp adventure magazines, and old-school genre comics that felt dangerous, strange, violent, and wildly imaginative.
The Format
Lady Redbeard Volume 1 collects two complete stories — the origin story and the Doing Time storyline — originally published across Spicy Pulp Comics issues 1, 2, 5, and 6. It’s available as both a prestige oversized hardcover (8.3” × 11.7” with a red bookmark ribbon and over a dozen pinups) and as an instant digital download. The hardcover is the definitive collector edition.
Who It’s For
If you love pulp adventure, sci-fi fantasy, Heavy Metal magazine, or comics that refuse to play it safe, Lady Redbeard is exactly what you’ve been looking for. Adults only (18+).
Where to Get It
